Ready-Mix Plant Maintenance Superintendent

About the role

The Ready-Mix Plant Maintenance Superintendent will lead maintenance operations across multiple ready‑mix facilities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, overseeing mobilization, installation, commissioning and hand‑over of new batch plants and industrial refrigeration units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multi‑site maintenance activities, mentoring site maintenance supervisors to meet production demands.
• Manage mobilization, mechanical/electrical installation, commissioning and safe hand‑over of new batch plants and associated infrastructure.
• Develop and enforce preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical leadership for industrial refrigeration assets such as ice plants and chillers.
• Define scopes, manage third‑party contractors and oversee major overhauls and plant shutdowns within budget and schedule.
• Authorize major spare‑parts requisitions and optimise inventory levels.
• Ensure all activities comply with UAE HSE regulations and Cemex HSE policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in heavy industrial maintenance, preferably in ready‑mix or cement manufacturing.
• Proven supervisory or managerial experience leading maintenance teams.
• Familiarity with local municipality regulations and permitting in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
• Valid UAE driving licence for frequent multi‑site travel.

Required skills

• Lifecycle management of concrete batching plants (mixers, silos, conveyors, control systems).
• Industrial cooling systems expertise (ice plants, chillers).
• Preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies, lean manufacturing concepts, asset performance tracking.
• Proficiency with CMMS and ERP platforms (SAP preferred).
• Strong coordination with equipment manufacturers, technical subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
