Receivable Accountant

About the role

Provident Estate is seeking a detail‑oriented Receivable Accountant to own the full receivables cycle for its Dubai brokerage. You will invoice, collect and reconcile commissions, ensuring agents are paid on time and the ledger remains accurate each month‑end.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue VAT‑compliant invoices for off‑plan, secondary and leasing commissions.
• Follow up on outstanding balances with developers, landlords and clients, resolving queries promptly.
• Record and allocate receipts (cheques, transfers, online payments) to the correct invoices.
• Perform bank, customer and developer reconciliations and reconcile the AR sub‑ledger to the general ledger.
• Produce AR aging reports, collection forecasts and month‑end schedules.
• Handle credit notes, commission adjustments and cancellations, confirming collections for accurate agent payouts.
• Support month‑end, year‑end close and audits, including FTA documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• 2‑5 years of full‑ownership receivables experience as an Accountant.
• Mandatory real‑estate experience, preferably within a UAE brokerage or developer.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and invoicing requirements.
• UAE work experience is essential.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (XLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex reconciliations).
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as Oracle, SAP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks or Tally.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CMA or CPA) – completed or in progress.
