Recovery Officer – Collections (Sharjah)

About the role

The Recovery Officer will support the Collections department by managing sensitive documentation, monitoring settlement compliance, and handling customer complaints while adhering to regulatory standards. You will engage with delinquent clients to recover overdue payments and help maintain portfolio quality.

Key responsibilities

• Contact 180+ delinquent clients daily and convert promises to pay into actual payments.
• Follow up on credit‑card and loan accounts, negotiate settlements with appropriate haircuts, and facilitate restructuring options such as salary transfers.
• Achieve monthly collection targets, resolve disputes, and initiate legal action for high‑value uncooperative accounts.
• Monitor payment patterns, implement targeted settlement strategies, and maintain skip‑tracing for unreachable customers.
• Execute credit‑control actions (suspension/cancellation), identify high‑risk cases, and provide feedback on delinquency trends.
• Comply with call scripts, procedures, and documentation requirements, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑5 years of experience in collections or debt recovery.
• Strong background in debt management and knowledge of banking regulations.
• High school diploma required; university degree (BA/BS) preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic preferred.
• Professional certification in collections/recovery is a plus.
