Recreation Supervisor

About the role

The InterContinental Fujairah Resort is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to lead its leisure facilities, including the gym, pool and activity areas. You will ensure a safe, clean and engaging environment for guests while supporting the resort’s high standards of service and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the gym, pool, beach and other recreation areas.
• Lead, train and motivate a team of recreation staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Monitor safety, cleanliness and equipment functionality, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Develop and promote wellness programs, special activities and events for guests.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
• Assist with budgeting, cost control and revenue generation through memberships and programs.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, operational logs and incident reports.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to enhance overall guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in recreation, leisure, hospitality or resort settings.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends.

Required skills

• UAE Lifeguard licence for pool and beach (preferred).
• First‑aid certification (preferred).
• Background in gym or fitness instruction (preferred).
