Recruiter

About the role

The Recruiter identifies, attracts and onboards top talent to meet dynamic business needs, working with various clients to assess hiring needs and interview candidates. The role is described as entry-level within the professional career band.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation and administration of recruitment programs.
• Receive, screen and file incoming resumes, background checks and reference checks.
• Conduct initial screening, telephone and face-to-face interviews with prospective applicants.
• Advise hiring managers on candidate selection and help negotiate competitive compensation packages with candidates.
• Sourcing candidates through the internet, community organisations, print media, networks, colleges and trade associations.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of all recruitment phases using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HRIS tools.
• Ensure compliance with local hiring and recruiting rules and represent the company accurately and ethically to candidates and service providers.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of relevant experience; previous call centre or bulk hiring experience is an added advantage.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines, including in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail, professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Use of ATS and HRIS tools.
