Regional Financial Controller

About the role

The Regional Financial Controller will lead finance operations across multiple countries for a leading freight forwarding and logistics group based in Dubai. Reporting to the Regional Managing Director and Group Finance Leadership, the role ensures accurate accounting, cash management, and financial reporting across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and enforce a regional financial close calendar, ensuring timely and reconciled trial balances for all country entities.
• Apply group accounting policies consistently, review and correct accounting deviations, and own the consolidation process for multiple legal entities.
• Manage intercompany accounting and multi‑currency transactions, including FX rate application, revaluation, and analysis of realised and unrealised differences.
• Maintain daily visibility of cash and bank positions, prepare rolling cash‑flow forecasts, and ensure sufficient liquidity for payroll, suppliers, customs, and tax obligations.
• Oversee banking relationships, facilities, guarantees, letters of credit, and working‑capital lines in coordination with Group Treasury.
• Ensure accurate costing of freight forwarding jobs, monitor profitability by country, branch, product, and trade lane, and partner with operations to protect margins.
• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packs, prepare consolidated regional P&L, balance sheet, and cash‑flow statements, and provide variance analysis against budget and forecast.
