Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

About the role

Speciality Hospital Abu Dhabi is recruiting a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. The nurse provides and coordinates patient care, educates patients and the public about health conditions and offers advice and emotional support to patients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' needs, perform systematic assessments and re-assessments, and collect and analyse health data
• Determine nursing diagnoses, define expected outcomes and create and evaluate care plans with the interprofessional team
• Record vital signs, recognise and escalate abnormalities, and maintain clinical and technical skills
• Perform essential life support including BLS, PALS, ACLS and neonatal resuscitation
• Administer medications, IV fluids and blood products, and provide wound care
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, assist in procedures, and facilitate safe admission, transfer and discharge

Required profile

• Valid nursing licence in the relevant regulatory authority with the required qualifications and experience
• Owns their own professional re-licensure
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support card
• Able to communicate clearly in spoken and written English; Arabic is desirable
• Willingness to work across departments when necessary

• Ability to use the electronic medical record platform for clinical documentation
