Registered Nurse - Emergency

About the role

Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital, a 200-bed JCI-accredited hospital in the Northern Emirates, is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Emergency department. The nurse delivers high-quality, patient-centred care in line with DOH/DHA regulations and organisational standards, assessing, stabilising and managing patients with urgent and emergent conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care, covering assessment, triage, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs.
• Provide timely and safe interventions in line with evidence-based emergency care guidelines and clinical pathways.
• Administer medications and manage emergency equipment efficiently to ensure patient safety.
• Communicate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring prompt escalation of critical cases.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation following organisational policies.
• Support patient and family education on treatment, discharge instructions and preventive health measures.
• Contribute to a safe environment by following quality, safety and infection-control standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Valid medical license from the Department of Health (DOH).
• 3-5 years of experience in an Emergency Department.
• Proven leadership and team lead experience.

Required skills

• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS is an advantage.
• Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
