Registered Nurse – OB‑GYN/Maternity

About the role

The Royal Women Hospital Abu Dhabi is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in OB‑GYN and maternity care. You will join a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality clinical services to women and newborns, providing both pre‑ and post‑natal support.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and allied health professionals.
• Perform systematic patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document abnormalities.
• Provide surgical pre‑ and post‑operative care, post‑natal care, breastfeeding support, and newborn care including room‑in.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products and monitor for reactions.
• Deliver wound care, assist in invasive and non‑invasive procedures, and ensure safe patient admission, transfer and discharge.
• Lead the team in the absence of the Charge Nurse, delegating tasks as appropriate.
• Participate in emergency code drills and respond to life‑support situations.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification with experience in obstetrics, gynecology, maternity and neonatal care.
• Ability to act as team leader and coordinate with inter‑professional staff.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tests, laboratory examinations and electronic fetal monitoring (CTG).
• Strong communication skills to educate patients, families and the public.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification
• Electronic fetal monitoring using CTG
• Intravenous therapy administration
• Medication administration and monitoring
• Wound care management
• Vital signs monitoring and interpretation
