Research Assistant – Clinical Research (UAE National)

About the role

Black Pearl Consult is looking for a UAE National Research Assistant in clinical research based in Dubai. You will work alongside clinical investigators and research colleagues, helping coordinate participants, manage study records and keep day-to-day research activities on track.

Key responsibilities

• Identify suitable study participants by reviewing eligibility against study-specific requirements.
• Guide participants through study information and support the informed consent process in line with approved procedures and assigned responsibilities.
• Coordinate participant appointments, follow-up visits and communication with clinical teams.
• Collect and enter research information into electronic study databases, checking for missing details and inconsistencies.
• Maintain organized participant files, consent records and essential study documentation.
• Support the preparation and tracking of ethics submissions, study updates and approval records.
• Keep the research team informed about recruitment progress, follow-ups and issues needing attention.
• Help prepare study files for quality reviews, audits and inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Nursing, Biology, Psychology or a related discipline.
• At least one year of experience in clinical research or a relevant field.
• Practical exposure to patient interaction, participant screening or study recruitment.
• Experience collecting research data, maintaining records and working with electronic databases.
• Understanding of research ethics, participant confidentiality and adherence to study procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, clear communication and ability to manage multiple follow-ups.
• Experience as a Clinical Research Assistant, Clinical Research Coordinator, Research Nurse or Research Assistant supporting patient-based studies is particularly relevant.
