Research Officer

About the role

The Research Officer will support the Research Affairs Office by handling operational, analytical and coordination tasks that enable effective management and reporting of the university’s research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse data on research performance indicators.
• Track budgets, milestones and deliverables for funded projects.
• Maintain the research website, databases and document repositories.
• Develop and update a research dashboard with automated reporting.
• Coordinate logistics for conferences, workshops and meetings.
• Draft research communications and newsletters for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing research proposals and periodic reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, IT or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience in research support, data analysis and software development.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel, MATLAB and Python.
• Experience using APIs and developing dashboards.
• Familiarity with research databases such as Scopus.
• Basic understanding of project budgeting and tracking.
