Resident Engineer – Advanced Traffic Management Systems & Integration

About the role

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Resident Engineer to join its Smart Infrastructure Group. The role will manage construction supervision and system integration for enhancements to an existing Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) platform in the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction, software deployment, integration and testing activities to ensure timely and safe execution.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams including engineers, specialists, inspectors, testing & commissioning personnel and quantity surveyors.
• Review and approve technical sub‑mittals, shop drawings, system design documents and testing documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, system integrators, software vendors and maintenance providers to facilitate smooth project delivery.
• Monitor health, safety and environmental standards and mitigate project risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years post‑graduate experience, with at least 7 years in a managerial or technical lead role on large‑scale ITS/ATMS projects in the UAE.
• Proven experience in handling technical and financial proposals, systems integration, software deployment and commissioning.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage.
