Resident Engineer - Hospital Construction Project

About the role

Morgan Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to lead the construction and development of a hospital project. The role covers all phases of the project, from conception to completion, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in healthcare project management and understands hospital construction and healthcare industry requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of a large-scale hospital project, keeping it on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and stakeholders to design and build a facility meeting healthcare standards and operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards and environmental guidelines.
• Manage project risks, identify issues and implement solutions.
• Coordinate project teams and resources, including internal departments and external contractors.
• Monitor and report progress regularly to senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage schedules, budgets and scope, adjusting as needed.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders so expectations are aligned.
• Oversee quality assurance and control measures throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 in healthcare or hospital construction.
• Extensive experience with large-scale healthcare facility construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field; master's preferred.
• PMP certification or equivalent highly preferred.
