Resident Engineer (Infrastructure)

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Resident Engineer (Infrastructure) to lead day-to-day construction supervision for major infrastructure works in a complex marine environment in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings and specifications, and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site supervision for infrastructure works including storm drainage, sewage and associated wet and dry utilities
• Direct and manage supervision of key assets such as pipes, manholes, chambers and gullies
• Supervise and coordinate the site supervision team (site engineers, inspectors, surveyors) for consistent quality and timely delivery
• Coordinate with other discipline Resident Engineers to keep the project aligned
• Review contractor submissions such as shop drawings, method statements, RFIs and technical proposals
• Work with design engineers to resolve technical issues and ensure correct on-site implementation
• Maintain daily diary records, review daily reports and monitor progress and productivity
• Coordinate with contractors on scheduling and resources, identify risks and drive corrective actions
• Advise on contractual and construction matters, including utility and traffic diversions and interface management
• Ensure safety goals are met and safe work procedures are followed, and issue site directions as needed
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports for drainage and utilities works

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction supervision of large infrastructure or marine projects
• Fluent English (written and spoken) with strong technical writing skills
• Strong computer literacy for reporting, record keeping and project systems

Desired skills

• Experience on marine-related works such as dredging, reclamation, earthworks and large-scale infrastructure supervision
• Strong stakeholder coordination across multi-discipline and multi-contractor environments
