Resident Engineer – Roads & Bridges

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Resident Engineer to lead construction supervision of roads and infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves managing project scope, schedules, and client expectations while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engineering scope, schedules, change management and project close‑out, monitoring progress against budget and timeline.
• Coordinate with authorities and agencies for approvals, hand‑over, and smooth execution of the project.
• Interface with contractors and sub‑contractors to ensure contract compliance and deliverables.
• Review work for adherence to codes, standards and quality requirements; approve change orders and notify relevant personnel.
• Maintain client expectations, provide regular progress updates, and safeguard Parsons’ rights and obligations.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 15 years post‑graduate experience in supervision and construction management of major roads, bridges and infrastructure projects, preferably in the GCC.
• Recent substantial experience on community development projects, preferably in Dubai.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Good technical knowledge of relevant standards and codes.
• Proficiency in computer applications related to civil engineering.
• Knowledge of construction health, safety and environment practices.
