Resource Allocator - Emiratisation

About the role

dnata, a global air and travel services provider, is hiring a Resource Allocator in Dubai. The role maximises the use of resources by allocating manpower, equipment and facilities on the day of operation, independently and in line with business needs, real-time demands and customer requirements while meeting Service Level Agreement targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain resource allocation plans 24-7 hours before operations, aligning manpower, equipment and facilities with forecasted demand and schedules.
• Review resource availability at the start of and throughout the shift, allocate resources to workload, recommend staffing, overtime and contingency measures, and advise the Operational Shift In-Charge.
• Monitor operations in real time and adjust allocations for delays, disruptions, staff shortages and other issues using systems such as RMS, RTC, MACS and OPERA.
• Manage workforce allocation challenges such as staff shortages, sickness and absenteeism, and develop contingency plans for system outages.
• Communicate plans to operational teams, support shift handovers, and evaluate resource allocation effectiveness to recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Completed 12 years of schooling or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within ground handling or the airline industry.
• Previous experience in operational resource allocation, shift management or overtime planning is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced computer skills and knowledge of specialist systems such as RMS, RTC, MACS and OPERA.
• Excellent analytical skills and quick response to dynamic changes during a shift.
