Respiratory Therapist

About the role

Amana Healthcare, a leading long‑term care and rehabilitation provider in the Middle East, is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the Respiratory Therapy Manager, you will deliver comprehensive respiratory care across LTC, PICU, NICU, rehabilitation, and outpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, monitor and manage patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including mechanical ventilation, airway management, oxygen therapy and emergency interventions.
• Perform specialized procedures such as arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, tracheostomy care, pulmonary diagnostics, chest physiotherapy and airway clearance therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other professionals to develop and evaluate individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Participate in code‑blue and other emergency situations, providing advanced airway support as needed.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers on disease management, equipment use and medication adherence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of post‑qualification experience in acute, critical or rehabilitation care.
• Valid DOH/DHA license (or eligibility) and current professional registration.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS and PALS; RPSGT certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to apply evidence‑based practice and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication skills in English and cultural sensitivity.
