Restaurant Host/Hostess

About the role

The Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel is looking for a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests in its restaurant. You will represent the hotel’s hospitality standards, ensuring every guest feels welcomed from the moment they arrive.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests with a warm, courteous demeanor.
• Maintain an attractive and orderly restaurant entrance and front area.
• Answer telephone calls, provide reservation information and follow hotel policies.
• Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and ready for guests.
• Collect guest feedback, address minor issues promptly, and report larger concerns to management.
• Support the service team during busy periods, including assisting cashiers when needed.
• Adhere to all hotel policies, SOPs, grooming standards, and personal discipline guidelines.

• Professional appearance and strong telephone etiquette.
• Team‑player attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

Required skills

• Knowledge of restaurant reservation procedures.
• Familiarity with basic cash handling and POS assistance.
