Restaurant Manager - Italian Cuisine (DUOMO)

About the role

The Dubai EDITION, a luxury hotel in Downtown Dubai opposite the Dubai Mall, is expanding its presence in the Middle East. It offers 275 guestrooms and suites, several food and beverage outlets, a pool, a spa, a fitness centre and event spaces. This Italian cuisine restaurant is looking for a manager.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all food and beverage and day-to-day operations within budgeted lines and to the highest standard.
• Supervise and manage employees, and select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach and discipline staff, supervisors and assistant managers.
• Be visible in operations, recognise good work, promote positive public relations and handle guest, client and group complaints and special requests.
• Ensure the quality of food, ingredients and preparation methods, and provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits.
• Check the condition of facilities and equipment and recommend corrections and improvements.
• Maintain service and sanitation standards in the restaurant and room service areas.
• Monitor ambience such as lighting, music and table setting, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations and food and beverage policies.
• Keep internal and external customer service at an excellent level and monitor revenues and expenses.

Required profile

• High school diploma, or 4 years of UAE experience in food and beverage or a related field.
• OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related major, plus 2 years of UAE experience in food and beverage, culinary or a related field.
