Restaurant Manager – Italian Restaurant (Italian National)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the Italian restaurant at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, a five‑star beachfront luxury hotel in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for delivering the Fairmont luxury service standards while creating authentic Italian dining experiences for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service, cleanliness, and proper ambiance.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to guarantee timely, high‑quality food delivery and menu planning.
• Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow to maximize turnover.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly, turning moments into memorable experiences.
• Recruit, train, coach, and schedule restaurant staff, conducting performance evaluations.
• Control labor costs, monitor daily sales, and achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Maintain inventory, monitor waste, and ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and local regulations.
• Support wine and beverage promotions and collaborate on seasonal menu initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in a luxury hotel or fine‑dining Italian restaurant.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of Italian cuisine, wines, and restaurant operations.
• Financial acumen with ability to analyse sales reports and control costs.
• Understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with restaurant POS systems.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles.
