Restaurant Supervisor

About the role

The Restaurant Supervisor will lead the front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth, high‑quality service from opening to closing. This role combines hands‑on supervision with guest‑focused problem solving in a fast‑paced dining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate and coach waiting staff, hosts and bar staff.
• Manage daily restaurant operations, including reservations, seating plans and flow of the dining room.
• Act as the primary point of contact for guest feedback and resolve issues promptly.
• Support training and development of new and existing team members.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards in line with local regulations.
• Assist the Restaurant Manager with scheduling, inventory control and sales reporting.
• Conduct pre‑shift briefings to communicate specials, targets and operational updates.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in a high‑quality, fast‑paced restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Passion for the food and beverage industry and commitment to excellence.

Required skills

• Experience with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
