Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Waiter/Waitress

About the role

The Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is looking for a Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Waiter/Waitress to join its Talea team. The role delivers exceptional dining experiences through warm, attentive and personalized service while supporting the smooth operation of the outlet and the Restaurants, Bars & Experiences (RB&E) operation. It reports to the Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Assistant Restaurant Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive and personalized service throughout the guest journey, anticipating needs and handling enquiries, preferences and special requests.
• Manage a designated restaurant section during service.
• Prepare and maintain mise en place, table settings and service areas.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams and service colleagues for seamless service.
• Ensure accuracy in order taking, billing and payment processing.
• Maintain hygiene, safety and presentation standards in line with established procedures.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of menus, beverages and other Mandarin Oriental restaurants and bars, and recommend food, beverages and experiences to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
• Promote signature experiences, seasonal offerings and outlet initiatives, and identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and restaurant performance.

Required profile

• Previous food and beverage or customer service experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Passion for guest engagement and creating memorable experiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, professional and detail-oriented.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
