Risk Officer

About the role

Kama Capital Securities is looking for an experienced Risk Officer to join its team in Dubai. The role supports the development and implementation of the company's enterprise-wide risk management framework by identifying, assessing and monitoring risks across the business and working with management and functional teams to put in place appropriate controls, mitigation plans and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise risk management framework, policies and procedures
• Identify, assess and monitor financial, operational, compliance, technology, reputational and business risks
• Maintain the risk register and monitor key risk indicators
• Conduct regular risk assessments and control reviews across business functions
• Identify control gaps and develop risk mitigation and action plans
• Monitor risk incidents, breaches and remediation activities and report to management
• Prepare regular risk reports and dashboards for senior management and the Board
• Work closely with Compliance, Internal Audit, Finance, IT, Operations and business teams
• Support business continuity, crisis management and operational resilience initiatives
• Keep risk policies and controls aligned with regulatory and business requirements and promote a risk-aware culture

Required profile

• 3-5+ years of risk management experience, preferably in Forex, financial services, fintech, banking or a regulated environment
• Strong understanding of enterprise, operational and financial risk management
• Experience developing risk frameworks, risk registers, KRIs and mitigation plans
• Strong understanding of internal controls and risk governance
• Excellent analytical, reporting and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and challenge business practices constructively
• Experience with regulatory or risk frameworks in the UAE financial services sector is an advantage
