Rolling Stock Senior Engineer

About the role

The Rolling Stock Senior Engineer is the lead technical authority for Dubai Metro’s rolling stock and depot assets. You will ensure optimal performance, reliability and lifecycle integrity of the operational fleet, driving data‑driven decisions and continuous improvement across engineering and maintenance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and drive engineering strategies aligned with international rail standards and long‑term organisational objectives.
• Assess, recommend and lead asset improvement programmes covering RAMS, FRACAS, FRB and ISO 55001/55000 principles.
• Lead technical investigations on rolling stock, power supply, ATC and related interfaces.
• Provide technical governance for rolling‑stock modifications, refurbishments and system upgrades.
• Manage obsolescence strategies to ensure sustainable, cost‑effective lifecycle management.
• Support maintenance teams with reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM), FMEA and data‑driven asset management techniques.
• Influence financial outcomes through optimized maintenance regimes and lifecycle planning.
• Act as senior technical interface with maintenance, operations, IT, PMO and engineering project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, statistics, mathematics, computer science or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in system engineering roles within rolling‑stock depots and related interfaces, including stakeholder management and maintenance development.
