Sales Engineer

About the role

Zaker Trading LLC is hiring a Sales Engineer in Abu Dhabi. The role combines selling the company's products with pre-sales technical support, meeting monthly sales budgets and targets while building a customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Sell the company's products using brand catalogs and technical data sheets, and achieve the assigned monthly sales budget for each brand or category.
• Meet monthly sales targets, daily and weekly customer visit targets, call quality standards, appointment-setting objectives and customer acquisition goals, focusing on clients with strong payment records.
• Initiate and coordinate action plans to penetrate the market and develop new customers, including traders and end-users.
• Represent the company and its brands at exhibitions and industry events, and keep track of competing brands and market pricing.
• Use print and digital media to find new projects and opportunities, and identify, qualify and develop new leads through email, phone, business contacts and site visits.
• Maintain records of sales activities, follow up on quotations, negotiate terms and finalize orders, and schedule visits with prospective customers.
• Prepare weekly sales and visit plans and discuss them with the Line Manager, and increase the customer base according to KPIs.
• Learn and deliver product demonstrations, provide pre-sales technical assistance and after-sales support, and follow up on payments within approved credit terms.
• Enhance proficiency in ERP and use its data to drive sales; monitor pending Sales Orders and Delivery Orders, and ensure timely deliveries and prompt invoicing.
• Handle customer complaints professionally, coordinate with the Sales Coordinator, and perform other duties assigned by the Line Manager or HOD.
