About the role
Le Royal Méridien Abu Dhabi is seeking a dynamic Sales Executive to lead corporate and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) business. The role focuses on developing relationships with pharmaceutical companies and other key sectors, driving revenue across accommodation, meetings, and events.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate and MICE accounts, prioritising pharmaceutical clients.
- Identify, qualify and pursue new opportunities for corporate accommodation, groups, meetings, conferences and events.
- Conduct sales calls, client meetings, site inspections, entertainment activities and roadshows.
- Build and maintain relationships with travel managers, procurement teams, event planners and agencies.
- Understand client travel patterns, production potential and compliance requirements.
- Prepare proposals and coordinate with Groups & Events, Revenue Management and Reservations teams.
- Follow up on leads to achieve individual and hotel revenue targets.
- Identify cross‑selling opportunities across accommodation, catering and F&B.
- Ensure accurate handover of confirmed business to operational departments.
- Monitor account performance, competitor activity and market trends.
- Maintain up‑to‑date account information in the hotel’s sales system.
- Achieve revenue, meeting, new‑account acquisition and opportunity generation targets.
- Represent the hotel professionally and deliver service excellence throughout the customer journey.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum one year of hotel sales experience in the UAE, preferably in a five‑star international hotel.
- Previous experience as a Sales Executive is preferred.
- Experience in corporate or MICE sales, especially within pharmaceutical, healthcare or events sectors, is a strong advantage.
- Good knowledge of the UAE market; Abu Dhabi or Dubai hotel experience and local connections are highly preferred.
- Proven ability to prospect, qualify and follow up on new business opportunities.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
- Valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
- Proactive, organised, target‑driven and able to work independently while contributing to the commercial team.
