Sales Manager – Events and Exhibitions

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead the sales strategy for assigned exhibitions, working closely with the Sales Director to achieve both financial and non‑financial targets. This role combines business development, client relationship management, and coordination with marketing and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Sell new and existing exhibitions, meeting strategic and financial goals.
• Research competitive exhibitions and market trends to generate innovative sales ideas.
• Develop and manage exhibition databases, agents, and sponsor opportunities.
• Create CRM programmes and key‑account strategies for target groups.
• Monitor daily team performance, set sales targets, and report progress.
• Coordinate exhibition layout, floor plans and ensure high standards with Operations and Marketing.
• Manage budgets to achieve revenue and NOP targets and drive sales innovations.
• Lead, train and support sales agents and national association networks.

Required profile

• Formal qualification in Business, Sales Management or related field.
• 7–8 years of sales experience in the exhibitions industry.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and leadership abilities.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics.
