SAP LOTO Coordinator (8-10 Month Contract)

About the role

Kanadevia Inova, a global player in waste infrastructure and waste-to-energy technology, is hiring an SAP LOTO Coordinator for an 8-10 month contract in Abu Dhabi. The role leads the log-out / tag-out office and coordinates all permit-to-work arrangements for safe work on the installation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage safety documents (safe systems of work) for electrical activities, including switching schedules and the permit system, and keep records of all permits
• Conduct site inspections and take the lead on safe isolation of equipment
• Train personnel on authorization to carry out electrical and mechanical activities under safety rules
• Endorse the role of the Senior Authorized Person (SAP) for LV systems
• Coordinate with Commissioning Engineers so that all works are carried out safely
• Review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) against HSE requirements and ensure precautions protect workers during construction and commissioning
• Ensure HSEQ requirements are met, eliminate or mitigate hazards, and stop work when safety is compromised
• Work with the Site Manager, Commissioning Manager and Site HSE Manager on site activities, deliver lessons learned and take part in site meetings

Required profile

• Experience as a LoTo coordinator in industrial plants
• Experience as a site electrical supervisor in construction or a related field
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• SAP operational safety training from a recognized body or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of site experience as an active LoTo
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Required skills

• HSEQ knowledge and familiarity with electrical and mechanical safety rules
• Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent
• Valid safety contractor certificate (SCC), Safepass, CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
• Solution-oriented, good forward planner, communicator and negotiator
