SAW Welder - Heavy Pressure Vessels

About the role

ADEAREST is hiring a SAW welder in Abu Dhabi who reports to the Production Engineer. The welder executes high-quality Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) on heavy pressure vessels in line with approved WPS, drawings and codes such as ASME and ADNOC specifications, ensuring defect-free welds, good productivity and adherence to safety and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Perform SAW welding on longitudinal and circumferential nozzle seams according to the WPS
• Set and control welding parameters (current, voltage, speed, wire and flux)
• Check joint fit-up, alignment and cleanliness before welding
• Ensure welds meet ASME and ADNOC specifications and pass RT/UT inspection
• Follow preheat and interpass temperature requirements
• Operate welding equipment safely, maintain housekeeping and meet productivity targets
• Report issues to the supervisor

Required profile

• Certified SAW welder with relevant code qualification and hands-on experience in heavy vessel fabrication
• Proven ability in multi-pass welding on thick materials
• Basic knowledge of preheat, interpass temperature and weld defects
• Experience working to ADNOC or similar oil and gas specifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pressure vessel or heavy fabrication welding
