Schedule Planning Manager

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Schedule Planning Manager to develop and deliver optimized passenger and cargo schedules. The role ensures alignment with Etihad Aviation Group’s strategy and supports both short‑term and long‑term network planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and publish economically and operationally optimized flight schedules.
• Manage short‑term schedule delivery, including re‑fleeting, capacity optimization, and on‑time performance.
• Support long‑term network and commercial requests to maximize profitability.
• Recommend capacity‑optimization initiatives to senior management.
• Produce annual, 5‑year, and 10‑year schedule plans incorporating fleet strategy.
• Prepare key reports and lead regular stakeholder meetings.
• Coordinate with Network Planning, Revenue Management, Alliances, Operations, Government Affairs, Finance, and Corporate Communications.
• Maintain and enhance Etihad’s slot portfolio.
• Publish prime, codeshare, and marketing flight schedules accurately.
• Manage ad‑hoc charter requests that add value without compromising operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of schedule planning experience with a reputable airline.
• Proven ability to develop, present, and support business cases.
• Experience managing staff and projects with high‑level stakeholder interaction.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business planning, analytics, or a related discipline.
