About the role
Ferns N Petals is seeking an Operational Procurement Manager to lead the end‑to‑end purchasing process for its perishable and lean inventory across a large vendor base. The role focuses on ensuring timely, high‑quality deliveries while supporting rapid growth and operational resilience.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Oversee the full Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) cycle, ensuring compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Monitor and improve spend efficiency, product quality, and delivery performance (DIFOT%).
- Communicate regularly with senior management on goods flow and production impact.
- Conduct data‑driven analyses, set benchmarks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Implement risk‑management procedures to mitigate product shortages.
- Lead and develop a purchasing team, ensuring clear delegation and performance tracking.
Required profile
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in fast‑moving, perishable goods environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance competing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large vendor portfolios and drive cost‑effective sourcing.
- Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on operational metrics.
