School Nurse – Dubai

About the role

Taaleem is seeking an experienced School Nurse to join one of its Dubai schools. The role is central to creating a safe, healthy learning environment and ensuring compliance with DHA/HAAD health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑aid, administer medication, vaccines and other treatments to students.
• Monitor and promote healthy eating by checking lunch boxes and canteen food, and delivering nutrition talks.
• Maintain and audit first‑aid kits and oversee school medical examinations for designated year groups.
• Ensure DHA/HAAD compliance by managing approvals, statistics and regular health‑safety checks with the Facilities Manager.
• Communicate health and safety matters with parents, the Children’s Health department and the school’s Child Protection team.
• Support students with specific health needs, such as diabetes, and participate in the Health and Safety Committee.

Required profile

• Valid nursing qualification approved by DHA/HAAD.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience in a hospital, school clinic or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of primary health care for children and families.
• Excellent communication skills, high confidentiality and a caring, non‑judgmental attitude.

Required skills

• Administration of medications and vaccinations.
• Health‑safety compliance and record‑keeping.
• Ability to conduct health assessments and manage chronic conditions in children.
