Science Lab Assistant – Laboratory Technician

About the role

The Science Lab Assistant provides essential technical and administrative support to the Science Department, ensuring laboratories are ready for practical lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The role helps maintain a safe and organized learning environment for both teachers and students.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare laboratories for practical lessons, set up equipment and materials.
• Manage laboratory inventory, order supplies, and maintain equipment.
• Support teachers and students during practical activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Handle administrative tasks such as record‑keeping, reporting, and compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, Laboratory Technology, Applied Science or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a Laboratory Assistant or Technician, preferably in an educational environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
