Science Teacher - Yasmina British Academy

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting a Science Teacher for Yasmina British Academy for the 2027/2028 academic year. The school is part of Aldar Education's network of schools in the UAE, serving over 38,000 students across 31 schools. The post is full-time and involves delivering lessons that inspire students to succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Plan engaging lessons with colleagues and adapt them to the needs of the whole class
• Organise classroom provision and learning resources, and create displays that encourage engagement
• Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching and assess them in line with school assessments
• Take responsibility for class progress, record development using Target Tracker and use assessment data to inform planning and intervention
• Give feedback to parents and carers at parent-teacher conferences and other meetings
• Follow the school's behaviour policy, manage classes effectively and act as a positive role model
• Work with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists where needed
• Join a curriculum action group, help organise school events and run a weekly ECA each term
• Communicate with parents and carers about achievements and well-being using school systems such as CPOMS

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with PGCE or another teacher qualification
• Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience
• Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities

• Ability to observe, assess and adjust teaching and provision based on student progress
• Effective communication with colleagues, parents and carers
