Security Researcher – Software

About the role

BEACON RED, part of Edge, is looking for a Security Researcher to perform hands‑on security assessments of IT products, embedded systems, firmware, hardware devices and software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security evaluations of software, firmware, embedded systems, hardware devices and IT products.
• Conduct vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, reverse engineering and logical attack assessments.
• Execute firmware analysis, side‑channel analysis, fault injection, debug‑interface testing and cryptographic implementation testing.
• Document technical evidence, produce detailed reports and provide risk‑based security recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Security, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity evaluation, penetration testing, vulnerability research or hardware security testing.
• Hands‑on experience with firmware analysis, fuzzing, exploit development, side‑channel analysis or fault injection.
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, CISA or equivalent.
