Senior Accountant – Accounts Receivable & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead our Accounts Receivable and Compliance functions. The role involves managing the full AR cycle, maintaining accurate accounting records in Tally ERP/Tally Prime, and ensuring all statutory, tax and regulatory obligations are met on time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts, invoices, receipts, credit and debit notes, and monitor outstanding balances.
• Prepare AR reports, ageing analysis, collection reports and customer statements; follow up on overdue payments.
• Perform regular reconciliation of customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain daily accounting entries in Tally ERP/Tally Prime, including sales, purchases, payments, journal entries and bank transactions.
• Conduct bank reconciliations, ensure proper classification of entries and maintain complete books of accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, MIS reports and cash‑flow updates.
• Oversee compliance calendars, VAT/GST filings, tax documentation and WPS payroll accounting requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, external consultants and government authorities for audit and compliance matters.

Required profile

• Strong accounting knowledge with a focus on accounts receivable.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Experience handling statutory, tax and regulatory compliance in a corporate environment.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate financial reports and support management decision‑making.
