Senior Accountant – Car Rental

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our car‑rental business in the UAE. You will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, supporting budgeting processes and ensuring compliance with local tax and IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements by the 4th working day and compile quarterly and annual reports.
• Assist in budget preparation and align budgets with business objectives.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and support tax audits and returns in line with UAE tax law.
• Conduct weekly financial analysis to spot trends, variances and improvement opportunities.
• Reconcile general‑ledger, inter‑company and bank accounts, resolving discrepancies.
• Monitor daily cash flow, produce fund‑flow statements and ensure sufficient liquidity.
• Liaise with clients, vendors and internal departments to resolve financial queries.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and provide data‑driven insights for decision‑making.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of accounting experience in the car‑rental sector and a total of about 5.5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, IAS and UAE tax regulations.
• Proven ability to prepare financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
