Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join Al Marwan Group’s Finance team. The role will oversee day‑to‑day accounting, financial reporting and the accounts‑receivable function, ensuring accuracy and compliance across our diversified portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly financial and management reports and analyse data to support decision‑making.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and audit schedule preparation.
• Manage the full accounts‑receivable cycle: invoicing, collections, customer reconciliations and monitoring overdue balances.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensure proper recording of transactions and support internal and external audits.
• Utilise Yardi for accounting records, process transactions and generate financial schedules; perform detailed reconciliations using Microsoft Excel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 4‑5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role.
• Hands‑on experience with Yardi (mandatory).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, reconciliations and accounts‑receivable.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and detail‑orientation skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
