Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. You will manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP, IFRS and other accounting standards.
• Oversee the general ledger, recording and reconciling all transactions.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and other financial accounts.
• Prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze financial data, provide insights and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, prepare and file tax returns, and stay updated on tax regulation changes.
• Monitor costs, identify improvement or cost‑saving opportunities.
• Evaluate accounting processes and recommend efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• CPA or CA certification (mandatory).
• 5‑7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and internal departments.
