Senior Accountant

About the role

Masdar is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations for its renewable energy projects in Dubai. The role involves journal entry, accounts receivable/payable, cash management, and preparation of periodic financial statements in line with Masdar’s policies and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily AP and AR activities, invoice approval, and month‑end reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed assets register, manage cash flow, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Record project transactions in the general ledger, prepare accruals, and ensure timely closing of books.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports and financial analyses for stakeholders.
• Oversee payroll functions, timesheets, and employee leave monitoring.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in bookkeeping, AP/AR, cash management, UAE VAT, and financial reporting.
• Prior experience in renewable energy projects is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle ERP.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and IFRS.
