Senior Accountant

About the role

Tajvand Group of Companies is looking for an experienced, results-driven Senior Accountant in Ajman to manage the company's financial operations, reporting, planning and overall financial performance. The successful candidate will oversee finance activities, strengthen internal controls, manage financial reporting and give financial insights to senior management. Candidates with UAE experience and a background in transport, logistics, trading or contracting are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial and accounting operations of the company.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts and business plans.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, profitability and overall financial performance.
• Manage financial planning, cost control and expenditure monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and applicable financial regulations.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks and financial institutions.
• Strengthen internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
• Lead, supervise and develop the finance and accounts team.
• Provide financial analysis, reports and recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 4-5 years of accounting and finance experience, including UAE experience.
• Previous experience as a Finance Manager or in a senior finance role.
• ACCA, CMA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
• Experience in transport, logistics, trading or contracting companies is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and financial regulations.
• Excellent understanding of ERP systems, financial reporting and advanced MS Excel.
• Leadership, analytical, budgeting and decision-making skills.
