Senior Accountant - Revenue, Tax & Finance Operations

About the role

The Senior Accountant will ensure accurate revenue accounting, timely VAT and corporate tax compliance, and effective banking and payroll coordination across a multi‑location group. The role requires a hands‑on finance professional who can manage reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and provide clear management reports.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare VAT computations, annual reconciliations, refund applications and coordinate with tax advisers and the Federal Tax Authority.
• Prepare corporate tax computations, annual returns, manage tax registrations and group eligibility, and maintain loss and transfer‑pricing schedules.
• Reconcile daily store revenue from POS systems with bank settlements, investigate cash shortages, refunds, chargebacks and produce month‑end reports.
• Coordinate bank documentation, KYC updates, cash‑deposit machine services and maintain a register of bank accounts and merchant IDs.
• Validate payroll, final settlements and incentive calculations, ensure confidentiality and proper accounting of payroll liabilities.
• Review petty‑cash and Qashio card transactions for policy compliance, classify expenses, and prepare monthly spending reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CA Inter, ACCA, CMA or equivalent preferred.
• 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, at least 3 years in the UAE.
• Hands‑on experience with UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance, including EmaraTax.
• Strong attention to detail, investigative mindset and ability to meet recurring deadlines across multiple entities.
