Senior Accounting Officer

About the role

Almarai is seeking a Senior Accounting Officer to strengthen its finance function in Sharjah. You will support accurate financial reporting and internal controls by managing cash flow, reconciliations, period‑end activities, costing, and SAP validations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor cash flow statements and bank reconciliations.
• Execute period‑end closing activities, including journal entries and cost allocations.
• Validate data in SAP and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide on‑the‑job support to the finance team and assist with ad‑hoc financial analysis.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support internal audit processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience in a commercial organization, preferably FMCG or manufacturing.
• Experience working in a computerized accounting environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Confidence using an ERP system.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse nationalities.
• Initiative and ability to work under pressure handling a sizable volume of activities.
