Senior Accounts Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accounts Officer to join Blue Ocean Management Training in the United Arab Emirates. The role will oversee the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, receipts and other financial documents.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Assist with month‑end closing, financial reports and management reporting.
• Support preparation and submission of UAE VAT returns and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, banks and internal departments on finance matters.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits and monitor expenses for proper recording.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Native Arabic speaker with strong English communication skills.
• Proven experience with UAE accounting practices, VAT compliance and full‑cycle accounting.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain high accuracy.
