Senior Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accounts Payable Accountant will lead end‑to‑end AP operations, ensuring timely invoice processing, payments, and regulatory compliance. The role works closely with the Contracts & Procurement team to streamline procurement‑to‑payment cycles and maintain accurate inventory records.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounts payable for corporate and subsidiary entities, reviewing high‑volume invoices and performing vendor reconciliations.
• Support treasury functions by forecasting cash disbursements, monitoring bank balances, and assisting with foreign‑exchange exposure.
• Maintain the fixed assets register, oversee capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and perform related reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory accounting, conduct stock‑movement analysis, perform cost variance reviews, and coordinate physical counts.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, and UAE Corporate Tax, preparing required financial reports and schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum 84 months (7 years) of experience in accounts payable or related finance functions.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, UAE Corporate Tax, and IFRS standards.
• Proficiency with Oracle Fusion ERP, SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high‑volume invoice processing, month‑end closing, and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Experience in fixed‑asset management, inventory costing, and vendor relationship management.
