Senior Advisor – HSSE (Training)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Senior Advisor – HSSE (Training) to lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of health, safety, security and environment training for a major project. The role combines strategic planning with hands‑on training delivery, ensuring that all personnel and subcontractors meet the required competency standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Training Management plan for the project.
• Create the project HSE training matrix and a rolling monthly training schedule aligned with site priorities.
• Design and adapt training modules using corporate content and project‑specific HSE procedures.
• Conduct HSE inductions, theoretical and practical training sessions, and craft‑specific trainings as needed.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date HSE training database and generate weekly/monthly training statistics for the HSE Manager.
• Produce safety flashes, alerts, bulletins and other awareness material.
• Perform periodic HSE training audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
• Implement competency assessment processes for both HSE and non‑HSE positions.
• Serve as the focal point for training and competency during internal and external HSE audits.
• Assess subcontractor trainers, coordinate training activities, and audit subcontractor training delivery.
• Translate training material into local languages when required and support HSE campaigns such as safe driving and H2S awareness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in developing and delivering HSE training programmes.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, competency assessment and audit processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
