Senior Analyst - Airport Operations Systems

About the role

A highly experienced, technically adept Airport Operations Systems Lead is sought to oversee the implementation, integration and operational management of critical airport systems across terminal operations, airfield operations and baggage handling. The role drives the adoption of AI and ML-powered capabilities for smarter decision-making and optimized passenger flows. It focuses on end-to-end project delivery, from requirements definition and stakeholder alignment through validation and UAT, rather than technical support or service management. Applicants must already be in Dubai with a MOFA-attested degree certificate.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment and integration of airport systems for terminals (check-in, boarding, gates), airfield management (AODB, resource management, surveillance) and baggage handling (BHS, BRS, baggage track and trace).
• Define technical and operational requirements aligned with airport strategy, safety standards and capacity planning.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders, consultants and solution providers to deliver systems on time, in scope and to quality benchmarks.
• Oversee daily system performance and reliability, and develop SOPs, incident response protocols and business continuity strategies.
• Coordinate with AOCC, IT, baggage operations and airside teams for real-time situational awareness.
• Introduce AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, automation and cloud-based architectures, and ensure system interoperability and cybersecurity compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology or aviation management; master's preferred.
• 10 years of experience in airport systems or aviation IT, including leadership of large-scale technology implementations (the text also states 7-10 years overall and 5-7 years relevant).
• Proven track record in passenger processing, self-service technologies and biometric integrations.
• Familiarity with IATA, ICAO, ACI standards and ITIL; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of terminal systems (CUTE/CUPPS, CUSS, FIDS, BRS, security screening), airfield systems (AODB, RMS, surface movement, airport surveillance, GMS) and baggage systems (BHS, SCADA, airline DCS integration).
• Experience designing or implementing AI/ML systems and computer vision systems.
• Expertise in airport operational planning, passenger flow simulation and capacity optimization tools.
• Experience with ORAT, new terminal readiness programs and digital commissioning.
• Project management, cross-functional leadership and vendor management.
