Senior Application & Design Engineer

About the role

Our client is looking for a Senior Application & Design Engineer to join the Technical Sales Support and Aftermarket Applications team for REFIT Oil & Gas projects in Dubai. The role provides technical application engineering, design, costing and proposal support while managing the full lifecycle of customer enquiries, from initial design to order hand‑over. It combines engineering expertise with sales‑oriented project management but does not involve final site execution.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical reviews of client enquiries, prepare proposals, conduct system selections and produce 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, negotiate quotations with suppliers, and develop commercial proposals and tender documents.
• Manage pre‑execution phases of orders, coordinate hand‑over to project execution teams, and track project schedules and milestones.
• Attend technical meetings with customers and stakeholders, liaise with internal departments and ensure excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5–8 years of experience in technical or applications engineering.
• Experience in air intake filtration or large‑equipment HVAC is preferred, and familiarity with managing regional business portfolios of USD 6‑10 million.
• Valid UAE driving licence and strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• AutoCAD and Inventor (Autodesk Product Design Suite) for 2D/3D modelling.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
• Salesforce or equivalent CRM system.
