Senior Application Engineer – Mechanical

About the role

The Senior Application Engineer – Mechanical will lead the management and organization of technical documentation, work orders, and product customisation for HVAC solutions. You will act as the bridge between sales, production, and after‑sales teams, ensuring that customer requirements are met through accurate engineering data and product certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and organise work processes, including catalogues, IOM, technical data, BOMs, design data and specification sheets.
• Approve contract review forms, work orders, modification requests and item code creation for the team.
• Ensure timely hand‑over of work orders and modification notes to production.
• Monitor material ageing, suggest alternative materials and guide team training.
• Prepare monthly evaluation reports based on NCRs and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain catalogues, IOMs, technical data sheets, item specifications and design guidelines.
• Evaluate and improve selection software, maintain supplier software performance data.
• Create technical data and drawings for non‑standard products and manage product improvement projects.
• Support sales and after‑sales with technical assistance, training presentations and on‑site troubleshooting.
• Process work orders, estimate BOMs and GA drawings, perform value engineering and optimise costs.
• Coordinate product certification activities, prepare documentation and liaise with certifying agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in HVAC equipment design, testing and diagnostics.
• Strong knowledge of component selection and design for HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with regional and international HVAC regulations and standards.
• Hands‑on experience in an AC manufacturing environment and product improvement initiatives.
• Leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
