Senior Application Support Specialist – Banking & Payments (UAE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Support Specialist to join a leading banking organization in the UAE. The role focuses on supporting mission-critical banking and payment applications, ensuring high availability, and coordinating with business and technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 production support for critical banking applications and payment systems.
• Monitor application health, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve issues within SLA.
• Support daily banking operations and payment processing, including releases, patches, and upgrades.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Coordinate with business users, vendors, infrastructure, and development teams.
• Prepare operational documentation and support reports.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical applications.
• Ensure compliance with banking security, audit, and operational standards.

Required profile

• 8+ years of application support experience, with 5+ years in banking applications.
• Proven experience supporting mission-critical payment applications in a UAE financial institution.
• Strong incident and problem management skills, familiar with ITIL processes.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.
